SPECIFICATIONS ON MATERIALS USED


THE BEST QUALITY MATERIALS ARE USED FOR THE LUMON BALCONY GLAZING.

ALUMINIUM PROFILES:

•    Special anchoring system fixes them to balcony ceilings.
•    Glass weight is fully supported by the upper profiles.
•    The lower profiles are affixed to the baluster: either to the rails or to the construction itself.
•    The lower profiles are strengthened by anodized brackets.


GLASS

•    6; 8 and 10 mm tampered security glass with polished rounded edges.
•    Glass sheets are fixed to the profiles, using 4 or 5 acid resistant clenches in combination with plastic sleeves, silicone and glue.


HINGES

•    Hinges are supposed to be used with glass sheets that can be turned both to the right and to the left.
•    First glass sheets to be mounted near the wall are supplied with fixed upper and lower hinges, all the rest allow free gliding and turning.
•    Construction of a hinge: plastic body houses a small wheel, stainless steel bearing and an acid resistant closure.


LOCKS

•    Locks are supplied both on top and the bottom of the glazing.
•    The upper lock ensures airing allowing position of glass sheets. The lower lock fixes the system in a closed position.


VENTILATION LEVER AND THE WALL FASTENING

•    The ventilation lever allows opening of the first glass sheet in a position for airing (two positions).
•    The wall fastening is designed to allow unfolding of the glazing up to the wall in its fully open position.


SEALINGS AND PACKINGS

•    Sealing prevents dirtiness and moisture from penetrating your balcony
•    A small nylon brush fills the gap between the top profile and the top glass profiles.
•    A Silicone sealing rubber fills the gap between the lower profile and the lower glass profiles.
•    A transparent silicone sealing rubber fills the gap between the side walls and the glazing.
•    Plastic h-type profiles are designed to fill in the 1,2 mm gaps between the glass casements.
